Pressure Calibration

The Flow Center calibrates all makes of pressure measuring instrumentation, including pressure gauges, transducers and transmitters, manometers and many more.

Pressure calibrations are offered with varying uncertainties over four ranges, covering Gas pressure gauge, gas pressure (absolute), Gas Pressure differential, and cross floatation of dead-weight testers. That comprises:

  • Pressures in the range -96.5kPa to -3.5kPa  have an uncertainty of measurement of 0.02%
  • Pressures between 0 to 3kPa (0 to 30mbar) have an uncertainty of measurement of 0.02% + 4Pa
  • Pressures from 3kPa to 350kPa (30mbar to 3.5bar) have an uncertainty of measurement of 0.012%
  • Pressures including 350kPa to 30 Mpa (3.5bar to 300bar) have an uncertainty of measurement of 0.0075%

Differential Pressure Calibration

Accuracy of differential pressure measurement devices is an important factor for fiscal measurement purposes. Calibration of differential devices can be carried out over a wide range of line pressures.  This has the advantage that devices can be calibrated at the appropriate working line pressure for their particular application, thus reducing system uncertainties. Line pressures from 0 to 300 bar with differential pressures between 0 and 70 bar can be achieved. Calibrations are carried out with an uncertainty of measurement of 0.0075% of differential pressure + 0.9 ppm of line pressure + 9Pa. Both differential devices with electrical outputs and indicating instruments can be calibrated.

Differential pressure instruments with ranges of between 0 to 3kPa (0 to 30mbar). Can be calibrated with a true pressure differential and with very small incremental rises.  These calibrations are carried out with an uncertainty of measurement of 0.02% + 0.4 Pa.
